Carrying a lightweight assignment of just 53.6 kilos, the daughter of Todo Un Amiguito made full use of the race setup to capture the sprint handicap at Palermo, drawing away to defeat Emma Linda by 2 1/2 lengths

PALERMO, Buenos Aires.— Four victories in her last seven starts provided a clear signal that Todo Toda was enjoying the finest form of her career. The remaining question was whether the momentum built through allowance company could seamlessly translate into handicap competition. Friday’s Handicap Sideral, contested over 1000 meters on the main track at Palermo, offered the daughter of Todo Un Amiguito her chance to answer—and she did so decisively.

Carrying a lightweight assignment of just 53.6 kilos, the chestnut filly capitalized on a ideal scenario to make her successful stakes-level debut, winning with an authority few anticipated given her 8.90-1 tote board price.

Jockey Jorge Luis Peralta played a pivotal role in the outcome. Resisting the urge to engage in the early speed duel,Peralta allowed La Combatiente (Le Blues, 56.5 kg) to dictate the pace while settling Todo Toda in mid-pack without early exertion. Approaching the 500-meter mark, he began angling her closer to the leaders, launching his full bid at the 300-meter pole. Just 50 meters later, Todo Toda surged past the pacesetter to assume control, drawing clear to the wire.

Emma Linda (Emmanuel), the surprising 2.95-1 betting favorite, finished second, 2 1/2 lengths back. Also benefiting from a light load of 53.8 kilos, she offered no response to threaten the winner's decisive kick. La Combatiente, who carried the brunt of the early running, held on bravely for third, a neck behind the runner-up, with Elkara (Il Campione, 54.8 kg) another neck back in fourth. Realizada Cat (Hurricane Cat, 57 kg) completed the top five, 3/4 of a length further behind.

The 14-runner field posted a final time of 58.41 seconds over the 1000-meter straightaway. Among the heavily backed contenders, top-weighted Gran Celestial (Il Mercato, 59.5 kg) could only manage an eighth-place finish, while La Asturiana Blue (Le Blues, 55 kg) checked in tenth—reaffirming how weight handicapping and pace setups can reshape pre-race form.

A 5-year-old mare by Todo Un Amiguito out of Todopoderosa (Roy), Todo Toda was bred by Grosa S.A. She races in the colors of Stud Juani (Azul) and is trained by Ramiro Andrés Benavídez.

With Friday's triumph, she elevated her career record to five wins from 11 starts—including two over the Palermo dirt—and collected the 8,500,000 pesos winner's share.

The transition from allowance condition races to feature handicaps often requires a step up in performance. Todo Todaproduced that extra effort precisely when called upon. While her debut handicap victory caught the betting public off guard, her authoritative execution left no doubt about the merit of the performance.
