After a brief pause in the sales calendar, auctions will return to Argentina this Thursday with the Haras La Leyenda Mixed Sale, where the farm of Alberto and Renata Stein will disperse a group of broodmares, horses in training, a stallion prospect, and weanlings from the 2023 and 2024 crops.

Organized by Racehorse, the sale will be held online in a live format beginning at 6 p.m., with a preview show scheduled for around 5:30 p.m.

Broodmares will be the highlight of the catalogue, featuring daughters of Street Sense (Street Cry), Street Cry(Machiavellian), Catcher In the Rye (Danehill), Cima de Triomphe (Galileo), Montjeu (Sadler's Wells), Exchange Rate (Danzig), Storm Embrujado (Bernstein), Orpen (Lure), Horse Greeley (Mr. Greeley), and Seeker's Reward(Gone West). Covering sires include Sovereign (Galileo), Capensis (Tapit), Mutasaabeq (Into Mischief), Ever Daddy(Daddy Long Legs), and Cima de Triomphe.

Among the standout broodmares are Summer Freedom (Storm Embrujado), a half-sister to champion Summer Love(Freud) and stakes winner Soulle Ambar (Cima de Triomphe), who is carrying her second foal by Cima de TriompheSkidmore (Seeker's Reward), dam of stakes winner Dona Bibi (Storm Embrujado)—herself the dam of Dona Morebí(Catcher In the Rye) and Dona Bimore (Catcher In the Rye)—and of stakes-placed Dona Gabi (Storm Embrujado), in foal to Cima de TriompheDownhill Dancer (Montjeu), a half-sister to G1 winner Crowded House (Rainbow Quest) from the female family of Storm Cat (Storm Bird); and Opera Pagliacci (Cima de Triomphe), a half-sister to champion Mr. Bailetti (Exchange Rate) and stakes winner Opus Alpha (Cima de Triomphe), with Romantic Warrior(Acclamation) also featuring in the pedigree.

Among the weanlings, Caeleb (Storm Embrujo – Carnegie Mellon by Cima de Triomphe) stands out, as his dam is a half-sister to champion Carta Embrujada (Storm Embrujado). The stallion prospect on offer is Torque Max (Fortify – Torgau by Exchange Rate), winner of two races from three starts at Palermo and a half-brother to G2-placed Titmus(Cima de Triomphe).

The sale will be conducted in ten installments, except for the horse in training, which must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
