The filly Tranquila Señora, owned by Vacación, scored a nice win in the Premio Lacanian Ink, marking the second victory of her career; it was also the fifth win of the day for Francisco Leandro

The firm turf course (officially listed as “wet”) delivered compelling races both at the stakes and allowance levels. Romana Craf (Mastercraftsman) made headlines winning the Clásico Espirita (L), while Camuflaje (Orpen) and El Romancero (Il Campione) dead-heated for first in the Clásico Necochea (L). In the allowance ranks, Tranquila Señora contributed an important victory.
A homebred of Haras Vacación, she fully recovered from an unremarkable effort in the Clásico Estrellas Junior Sprint(G3), where she finished tenth, to get back on the winning trail despite the many changes she had to face.
Leaving behind the dirt and turn to land on the grass and straightaway, the daughter of Fortify stretched out to 1200 meters to surprise most and earn an impressive success. A perfect break helped her avoid trouble early, and from there, she began building her victory.
Jockey Francisco Leandro positioned the filly, trained by José Luis Correa Aranha and presented by Marina Bragante López, tracking the leader Jeanette (Remote), passed her midway down the stretch, and pulled away to win by 2 lengths over Emisora Mundial (Santillano) in 1:13.60.
The 3-year-olds also had several allowance races, starting with Siana (Cityscape out of Siracusa, by Pure Prize), who gave trainer Alfredo Gaitán Dassié and rider Nicolás Gaitán their first win with La Providencia, a chestnut filly. It was an incredible race where the filly came wide on the stretch, delivering a long, sustained rally to get up late and defeat Tira Para Arriba (Mootasadir) in 1:27.41.
In that division, it was all about Sweet Sabrina (Daniel Boone out of Safe Sabrina, by Heliostatic, Haras Santa María de Araras), who rewarded her front-running effort by holding off the late charge of debutante Sonrisa Top (Equal Talent) by 3/4 of a length.
Among the colts, the first to shine was Cosmic Stripes (Cosmic Trigger out of Infi Stripes, by Equal Stripes), who followed up his excellent debut by leading all the way to a 2 1/2-length victory over El Ocurrente (Fortify).
In the division, everything went to Magistral Boy (Daniel Boone out of G1 winner Malibu Queen, by Bernstein, Haras Santa María de Araras). Having paid his debut dues, the representative of Stud Las Monjitas fought hard to hold off Te Quiero Verde (Mootsadir) by 2 1/2 lengths.
With this colt, Francisco Leandro reached one of his five wins on another day where he was a central figure among the professionals.
