Ryan Moore chose the daughter of No Nay Never to spearhead Aidan O’Brien’s assault on the Irish 1000 Guineas at The Curragh, where Abashiri, Sukanya, and several other highly regarded fillies will also line up

COUNTY KILDARE, Ireland (Special to Turf Diario).- With final declarations confirmed for Sunday at The Curragh, the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas (G1) promises to deliver another top-class clash among Europe’s best 3-year-old fillies, with Aidan O’Brien once again dominating center stage.

And as so often happens in Ballydoyle’s biggest races, one of the first major signals emerged from the jockey room: Ryan Moore chose to ride True Love, leaving stablemate Precise (Starspangledbanner)—winner of both the Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1) and the Fillies’ Mile (G1)—to another rider.

The decision certainly did not go unnoticed.

True Love, a daughter of No Nay Never, created a huge impression in the 1000 Guineas Stakes (G1) at Newmarket, where she finished well ahead of Precise and fully confirmed the lofty regard Ballydoyle has always held for her.

She will now break from stall 1, with Moore expected to capitalize on her natural speed and acceleration.

Precise, meanwhile, will leave from gate 7 under Wayne Lordan.

The daughter of Starspangledbanner had started favorite at Newmarket, but never found the right race shape that afternoon and ultimately finished seventh, far below expectations.

Godolphin’s challenge will be led by Abashiri, a daughter of Frankel trained by Charlie Appleby, who finished fifth at Newmarket and now reunites with William Buick, back from suspension.

The filly will break from post 2, directly alongside True Love.

One of the major statistical angles of the race revolves around the remarkable presence of daughters of Havana Grey, who will have three representatives in the field.

Among them, Sukanya, trained by Jack Channon, stands out after her recent victory in the Fred Darling Stakes (G3)under Tom Marquand.

Also lining up will be America Queen, runner-up in the Nell Gwyn Stakes (G3) for the stable of Richard Hughes, and Black Caviar Gold, trained by Paddy Twomey and second in the Athasi Stakes (L).

Ironically, the winner of that very race—Kensington Lane (Starspangledbanner)—will represent Donnacha O’Brien, adding even greater depth to an edition that appears extremely open behind the leading favorites.

The field is completed by Beautify (Wootton Bassett), Hope Queen (Night of Thunder), Magny Cours (Awtaad), Pivotal Attack (Pinatubo), and Sinmara (Kingman).
