The Coolmore filly shone at Newmarket, winning clearly, of course, for the powerful Coolmore operation

NEWMARKET, England (Special for Turf Diario).— Any doubts regarding her stamina dissipated with the same forcefulness that her strides dominated the Rowley Mile. In a display of absolute hierarchy, the talented True Loveclaimed the Betfred 1000 Guineas (G1) this Sunday, granting Aidan O'Brien his eighth success in this contest and raising his personal tally to an astonishing 49 Classics.

Under a masterful ride by Wayne Lordan, the daughter of No Nay Never—who defended odds of 5-1—left 17 rivals in her wake, including her stablemate and favorite Precise (Starspangledbanner), to settle the matter by 1 3/4 lengths over Evolutionist (Night of Thunder). The victory not only confirmed the class of the Ballydoyle filly but also validated the intuition of Michael Tabor, who, after a last-minute talk with the trainer, decided to place full trust in the bay's abilities.

Lordan's tactical approach was flawless. Breaking from stall 16, True Love remained relaxed in one of the three groups that formed on the Newmarket straight, awaiting the right moment to launch her strike. Upon crossing The Dip, True Love responded to her rider's request with overwhelming power, dominating the scene despite a slight drift to the right in the final 100 meters. Behind the runner-up, Venetian Lace (Masar) completed the podium on an afternoon where the winner proved that 1600 meters are perfectly within her radar.

"She is an unusual filly," a satisfied Aidan O'Brien analyzed. "She won the Queen Mary (G2) at Royal Ascot over 1000 meters and the Cheveley Park (G1) over 1200, and very few of those fillies manage to get a mile. However, her recent victory at Leopardstown on soft ground over 1400 meters gave us the indication that she could do it. She is a monster, a big and powerful filly who has an enviable temperament."

The Irish trainer, who is now just one win shy of the record of 9 victories in this race held by Robert Robson for two centuries, is already looking toward the future with True Love. Bookmakers were quick to react, placing her as the heavy favorite for the Irish 1000 Guineas (G1) and the Coronation Stakes (G1) at Royal Ascot. "We don't need to drop her in distance because we have good sprinters in the team; I imagine she will stay at the mile," O'Brienconcluded.

Regarding the major disappointment, Precise, the trainer himself explained that a lack of fitness following a recent fever took its toll, although he remained optimistic about her evolution.

For Wayne Lordan, this success represents his third medal in the 1000 Guineas, following his victories with Winter(Galileo) and Hermosa (Galileo), consolidating his position as a specialist in these types of events. At the close of the Newmarket classic meeting, True Love did not just find her distance; she found the definitive path toward stellar consecration.
