LA PLATA – Speed will once again take center stage, this time at La Plata, where this afternoon's Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich (G3) promises an exciting showdown over 1200 meters, with the winner set to take home only 5,430,000 pesos.

Open to fillies and mares three years old and up, the race originally attracted 13 entries, though the expected absence of La Meninha (Le Blues) has been confirmed, as she recently captured the Clásico Miss Terrible on the turf at San Isidro.

With that key defection, Truly Princess (Daddy Long Legs) stands as the one to beat. The Stud Chúcaros filly thrives over this track and will look to extend her strong form by employing her usual front-running tactics. That strategy has worked to perfection in her last two local starts, both resulting in dominant victories in the clásicos Helda and Santiago Luro.

However, the race is far from a formality, with several serious challengers ready to make things difficult. Among them is Emely (Il Campione), who also prefers to race on or near the lead. She enters on a four-race winning streak at Palermo, including a decisive score in the Handicap Carapálida at the end of January, where she defeated Push Up (Bodemeister) by three lengths. The main concern? She will be racing at La Plata for the first time.

Another speedy contender is Byron Star (Equal Stripes), who cuts back in trip after a disappointing effort in Palermo’s Juárez Celman (G2). Before that, she dominated the Clásico Lucio Taborda (G3) over 1400 meters at La Plata, winning by five lengths—proof that she relishes this surface.

Meanwhile, Forever Rim (Remote) also returns to La Plata, where she had a three-race win streak before finishing fourth behind Save Your Tears (Full Mast) in the Clásico Francia (L) on San Isidro’s turf.

Finally, Creme de Cassis (Sidney’s Candy) cannot be dismissed. A seasoned ten-time winner, she might not match the raw talent of her younger rivals, but her experience and course familiarity could play to her advantage.

With multiple speedsters in the lineup, the Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich promises to be a fierce battle from start to finish—one where Truly Princess will need to be at her very best to secure another graded victory.
