The colt targets the Especial Velocistas over the kilometer; the mare faces a highly competitive field in the Especial Día de la Bandera (1400 m)

LA PLATA.– The racing wheel will turn, as it does almost every Tuesday, to the racetrack of this city, where a 10-race card awaits under the "pocket format" adopted by local management.
Among the 10 scheduled races, two will rise above the allowance level. The first of them will be the Especial Velocistas Potrillos (1000 m, dirt), for 2-year-old colts, followed later by the Especial Día de la Bandera, which will bring together mares 4 years old and up with 3 or more victories over 1,400 meters.
Among the youngsters, a duel could emerge between stablemates trained by Marcelo Sueldo, the conditioner who broke all records with 2-year-olds in 2026. One of his cards will be Bruno Pass (Distinctiv Passion), who was solid when capturing his debut by 5 lengths less than two weeks ago.
The other is named Unafraid (Forge), who won easily at first asking before finishing third, 11 lengths behind Los Llanos(Le Blues), in the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard (G3) over 1,300 meters. The turn back in distance could favor the Stud Aladino representative.
Breaking from the outside post will be Cadiz (Strategos), making his first appearance at the La Plata venue following a positive second-place finish on the San Isidro turf, where he finished 1 1/2 lengths behind Nissos (Il Mercato).
Meanwhile, the Especial Día de la Bandera features several contenders with strong arguments. After finishing 1-2 in the Especial Talavera, Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 56) and Frape (Vástago Salvaje, 54) meet again under a different weight assignment, leaving the door wide open for a rematch.
Carrying a slightly heavier impost will be Empress Life (Legión de Honor, 58), who comes off a highly valuable victory over stakes winner Save Your Tears (Full Mast) in the Especial Amaranto Plus, returning to top form after a minor stumble that proved to be nothing more than a glitch.
Pulling off an upset last time out, After Hours (Qué Vida Buena, 56) is fresh off capturing the Especial Bethysmal, narrowly defeating Sia (Puerto Escondido), and will now look to establish herself at this level.
City Land (Lizard Island, 58) will break from the extreme outside, and if she remembers her best form, it will surprise no one to see her cross the wire on top.
