The mare from Rubio B. is a strong contender in a race filled with high-class names and a rather complicated forecast

SAN ISIDRO. — In the lead-up to what will be the great meeting this Saturday at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, the Hipódromo de San Isidro has designed a program with 13 competitions, 2 of them at a stakes level, with the contribution of some conditional races to enjoy.
The Especial El Serrano (1,800 m, dirt) —which is discussed separately— will open the double of races above the common level, and then it will be the turn of the Handicap Ipe, over 1,400 meters on the dirt, for mares 4 years old and up, with a prize of only 6,150,000 pesos and the status of a non-grade stakes.
In a great moment, Victoria Bayern will try to extend the winning streak at this level for Stud Rubio B., which last week celebrated with Rollanda and Gigantografía, both by Bodemeister. By the champion Santillano, the pupil of Juan C. Etchechoury (h.) won the Handicap Rafale, defeating the highly regarded Blessed Shine (Honour Devil), and later falling by a head to La Tasmania (Mask) in the Clásico Roberto Pellegatta, in which she had also been second in 2025.
The matter will be far from easy for Victoria Bayern, who will have several rivals to watch out for, such as the case of Vieja Amiga Mask (Mask, 59), with a poor performance in the General Alvear (G3), but winner of the Clásico Aníbal Etchart and second in the Clásico Potri Pe.
Verenna (Cosmic Trigger, 60) is returning to her best level, fresh heroine in the Clásico Vit Reina, while Adi Shakti(Lucullan, 61) returns to the ring, eighth in the Copa de Plata (G1) in her farewell and, before that, winner of the Clásico Didia and second in the Carlos P. Rodríguez (G2).
The names with good references do not end there, as Candy Mimosa (Señor Candy, 55 1/2) will also be in the starting gates, receiving good weight advantages and embarked on a very interesting growth process.
A La Vista (Angiolo, 56) will start from the rail, third in the aforementioned Clásico Pellegatta and with many valuable placings to sustain her hope.
With 2 consecutive wins, Harlan's Rim (Remote, 56) moves up in level, and La Paltrow (Hurricane Cat, 53) will try to pull off a major surprise.
