Sent out by trainer Daniel Cima from his base in Rosario, the progressive son of Fortifyproved much the best on the main track, securing a definitive victory in the Clásico Estrellas Dirt Junior

Operating from his lifelong base at Hipódromo Independencia in Rosario, veteran trainer Daniel "Pucho" Cima has been a prominent fixture of the Carreras de las Estrellas since its inception. Renowned for dispatching highly competitive runners to the major metropolitan tracks to secure top-level honors, the accomplished horseman added another bright chapter to his resume during Day 1 of the Fundación Equina Argentina's championship festival at Hipódromo de San Isidro.
Under late afternoon sunshine, it was the progressive juvenile Vivir En Paz who provided the trainer with his latest spotlight victory, drawing clear with authority to capture the Clásico Estrellas Dirt Junior. The 1,300-meter main track event serves as a specialized showcase reserved for 2-year-olds that have yet to campaign at the primary circuits of San Isidro, Palermo, or La Plata.
Cima entered the contest with a strong two-pronged attack, also sending out eventual post-time favorite Barbarian (Qué Vida Buena). However, the market choice faded to fifth after entering a blistering early speed duel on the front end with El Bosque (Il Campione).
That contested pace ultimately played directly into the hands of Vivir En Paz. Ridden patiently, the colt initially sought racing room along the inside rail before being checked out of traffic. Once angled into the clear at the top of the stretch, he unleashed a powerful closing kick, rapidly inhaling the leaders to defeat a resilient El Bosque by 2 1/2 lengths, stopping the clock in a sharp 1:16.90.
Bred by Haras Vacación and campaigned by Stud D.M.I., the son of Fortify displayed the necessary professional class to suggest he will be a key player in more prominent stakes events on the metropolitan calendar moving forward.
