The colt imported in utero and from a G1-producing family will be one of the main attractions at Saturday’s sale in Santa Fe

ESPERANZA, Santa Fe (Special for Turf Diario).- It will be a festive Saturday at Haras La Valkiria, the successful operation run by Alfredo Farioli and family, as they host a new edition of their Annual Yearling Sale.
A total of 24 colts and fillies will go through the ring, in a group that includes offspring of the proven Mask (Tapit), who stands at the farm and whose runners are winning consistently at the top levels, along with progeny by the well-known Qué Vida Buena (Bernstein), Safety Check (Dubawi), and the red-hot Vekoma, the Candy Ride son who was crowned leading freshman sire in the U.S. in 2024.
One of the stars of the day will be Vulkanero, a colt by Vekoma out of So Gracious (Speightstown), imported in utero from the United States. His female family is stacked with quality and current form, being the same line as that of the brilliant Clairiere (Curlin), who battled Malathaat (Curlin) and Argentina’s Blue Stripe (Equal Stripes) in the memorable edition of the G1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Keeneland.
With genetic firepower and a standout physique, Vulkanero is a leading candidate to top the sale—but he's not alone. That short list also includes Never Forget Me (Mask–I'mneverwrong, by Compton Place), a full sister to GSW Garufa Mask, with 50% of her ownership up for grabs.
Other highlights include Guardia Negra (Qué Vida Buena–Burg Mulish, by Johannesburg), a half-sister to stakes winner Viejos Tiempos Mask (Mask); and Iluminado (Mask–Plena de Luz, by Star Dabbler), a full brother to Gurisa Mask, G3-placed. Also in the spotlight is Viejo Bagua (Mask–Storm Indy, by Bernstein), a half-brother to the talented Tremenda Sky (Falling Sky) and Indymanía (Mask).
The sale will be managed by Fallow Remates, with buyer-friendly terms: 10 installments.
