LA PLATA.- Will the fourth time be the charm for the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard? After 3 cancellations, no one dares to assert that it will be so, but, at least with 11 entries in the mix, perhaps this time the traditional step of the select process can finally be held.

Out of its original place in the calendar and somewhat distorted, it is now scheduled for Tuesday the 19th of this month, offering a very low prize of 8,750,000 pesos for the winner.

Recent winner of the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera de Buenos Aires (G3), Los Llanos(Le Blues) appears as the main candidate for victory. His possible rivals would be: Arc Village (Angiolo) —his runner-up last week—, Fogoso Moi (El Moisés), Fuego Imponente (Seahenge), Lunfardo (Daddy Long Legs), Nashville Song (Nashville Texan), Qué Vida Dura (Qué Vida Buena), Salvador Glorioso (Glorious Moment), Soy Electricity (Electricity), Unafraid (Forge), and Sam Bushido (Pneumatic).

The same afternoon, the Handicap Haras Dilú (1,000 m, dirt) could take place, for mares 4 years old and up with 3 or more wins, although only 8 have been entered, with Doña Chila (Peten Itza) carrying the top weight of 61 kilos. Elkara (Il Campione, 56 1/2), Jaque Mate Sar (Sardinero, 54), Nashville Blue (Nashville Texan, 56), Pretty Fabulous (Macho Fabuloso, 57), Sprint Back (Nickelback, 56), Sra. Brandy (Señor Candy, 56 1/2), and Terra Fade (Fade Out, 56) are the other probables.

Completing the stakes panorama for that day, the Especial Snow Cat (1,200 m, dirt) was also projected, for horses 5 years old and up with a minimum of 3 victories. Among the 18 entries, Crispado Key (Key Deputy) would carry 64 kilos, Atrevido Electric (Electricity) 62, and Folke Dancer (Forge) 60.

On Saturday, May 16, La Plata will also have an interesting top-level proposal, headed by the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3-1,600 m, dirt) for mares 3 years old and up under weight-for-age conditions.

After Hours (Qué Vida Buena), Centinela del Mar (Strategos), Elenika (Winning Prize), End of Spring (Il Campione), Foto Mental (Leofric), Guadilu (Señor Candy), Happy Star (Fortify), Jessie's Girl (Cima de Triomphe), Mimosa Grey (Zensational), Mis Locuras (Manipulator), Reina Secreta (Victor Security), Save Your Tears (Full Mast), Victoria Bayern (Santillano), and Emprestada (Cosmic Trigger).

The Especial Bethysmal (1,600 m, dirt), for mares 5 years old and up with 3 or more wins, would accompany the Maqueda in the programming, having received 10 probable entries, among them Expert Advice (Il Campione) and Puerta Plateada (Puerto Escondido), both with the topweight of 56 kilos.
