The colt of Stud Marías del Sur was unstoppable, completing the double for Haras La Pasión as breeder and for the sire Gouverneur Morris in the races for debuting juveniles at La Plata

LA PLATA.– And it was a double after all for Haras La Pasión as breeder and for the sire Gouverneur Morris in the special events for debuting juveniles contested this week at the racetrack of this city.

On Tuesday, the filly American Model prevailed without any setbacks in the Especial Independencia (1500 m, dirt), and now, in the strongest slot of the very brief Thursday card, it was the turn of Wiloma, who won comfortably in the Especial Patria (1500 m, normal dirt), both scoring as the public favorites.

Defending the colors of Stud Marías del Sur, the gray colt showed interesting skills to dismiss a large field of rivals, tracking from off the pace after breaking from the awkward post position 11. Guided by Juan Pablo Paoloni, the trainee of Rubén Quiroga settled into third already along the turn while Full Talent (Equal Talent) and Temón (Sixties Song) battled upfront through solid fractions (which apparently were missed in the broadcasts...).

Once in the straight, Full Talent was left alone in front, but only for a matter of seconds. Improving quickly down the center of the track, Wiloma took the lead and drew away with supreme ease to reach the wire with a 6-length advantage over Take One (Japan), another runner who made up ground. A half-length back, Full Talent held on for a brave third place, all after stopping the clock in 1m31s80/100.
