DUBAI, Emiratos Árabes Unidos (Special for Turf Diario).- Super Saturday at Meydan will feature a strong South American presence, not only through the Argentine colt Legalaized (Dabster), who will seek glory in the Jumeirah 2000 Guineas (L), but also through a new and important presentation by the Chilean Mufasa, who will measure forces in the Mahab Al Shimaal (G3-1,200 m, dirt), on the road to the Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1). The defender of the RRR Racing silks will have a luxury ally in the stirrups, as he will be ridden by the star Ryan Moore, who will seek to figure out a horse of enormous potential that has not yet been able to crystallize his 4 outings in the desert into victories.

Mufasa is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Al Shindagha Sprint (G3), finishing two lengths behind El Nasseeb(Profitable), who is once again in his path. However, the great obstacle for the son of Practical Joke will be the phenomenal Tuz, the best sprinter in the world on the dirt after his demonstration in the 2024 Dubai Golden Shaheen(G1). The trainee of Bhupat Seemar returns after 11 months of inactivity, but his jockey Tadhg O’Shea warned that the bay is in enviable physical form, moving "like a 2-year-old colt."

“He is fantastic. I am the happiest to have him back,” assured the rider, without hiding the emotion before the return of Tuz. And he was even more graphic when describing his current state: “He is like a catapult at this moment. It is a very difficult race, but I trust that we will get him through, as the legend he is around here."

From the RRR Racing environment, Muammer Ameen analyzed the Chilean's chances: "Mufasa has a lot of ability, accelerates very well from the gates, and possesses an interesting change of pace. Ryan Moore watched all his races and knows he is a sensitive horse; he doesn't like the rail or receiving kickback from the others, so he will have to be ridden carefully." The team will also present World Record (Gun Runner), a G2 winner in the United States making his regional debut with expectations of putting the heavy favorite in trouble, and Cats by Five (Audible).
