At Haras Santa Rita, the Great 2025 Weanling Sale Arrives This Saturday

Together with Haras El Paraíso, the farm will auction 27 yearlings, including offspring of Gouverneur Morris, Il Campione, Ivar, and Le Blues (photo), among others



SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York (Special to Turf Diario).– A Saturday with plenty of action in the ring is just around the corner with the Gran Venta Destetes 2025, which will kick off at 1 p.m. at the facilities of Haras Santa Rita, a farm that will offer products alongside El Paraíso, all under the organization of Monasterio Tattersall.

A total of 27 weanlings will look for owners within a lot that includes offspring of Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), Ivar (Agnes Gold), Le Blues (Roman Ruler), El Musical (Il Campione), Remote (Dansili), The Great Day (Harlan's Holiday), Leofric (Candy Ride), Satono Flag (Deep Impact), Verifying (Justify), Hiper Happy (Cityscape), Capensis (Tapit), Mootasadir (Dansili), Ex Minister (Il Campione), Lucullan (Hard Spun), Springdom (Sebi Halo), Imperador (Treasure Beach), Sovereign (Galileo), and Il Mercato (Not for Sale).

One of the products generating the highest expectations is Elegant Prince, selling as catalog number 19. By Il Campioneout of the G3-placed mare Federalist (Stonesider), he is a full brother to G2 winner Editorial Comment and G2-placed Educator, among others.

Entering the ring as number 1 will be Miss Gouver, a filly by Gouverneur Morris out of Miss Blue Cat (Hurricane Cat), whose third dam is the memorable Luisina Halo (Louis Quatorze), from the family of G1 winner Giulie-Halo(Southern Halo) and her daughter Giuliet Seattle (Seattle Fitz).

Ivar is one of the stallions being highly regarded at the sales this season, and the auction will include a pair of his foals. One of them is Flores Amarillas, out of Es Una Lady (Il Campione), a maternal sister to the dam of Los Llanos (Le Blues), one of the best colts in La Plata this season; the other is Valle de Ivar, out of Ex Alumna (Il Campione), a maternal sister to stakes winner Mac Paddy (Master of Hounds) and the G3-placed Sensitive Halo (Sebi Halo).

Volver al Pago is another name expected to command a strong price. Part of the second crop of the Japanese stallion Satono Flag, he is out of the multiple stakes-placed mare Sumailla (Sebi Halo), a full sister to G3 winner Shade of Rose, a remarkable sprinter.

Finally, it is worth keeping an eye on Lenna (Le Blues), the second foal out of stakes-placed Elastizada (Il Campione), a maternal sister to stakes winner Don Trueque (Orpen) from one of the foundation families of Haras San Benito: that of Student of Prague (Vigors).
