Highly consistent and reliable, the daughter of Honour Devil headlines a formidable contingent of dangerous visitors alongside End of Spring and Guadilu for the upcoming feature

LA PLATA.- LA PLATA, Argentina (Special for Turf Diario).— Racing returns this Tuesday to the Southern capital, where the Clásico Otelo A. Orlandi (L) serves as the clear centerpiece of a 10-race card. Scheduled over a mile, the stakes event is open to fillies and mares 4-years-old and upward under weight-for-age conditions.

Several formidable visitors dominate the pre-race analysis, led by the highly consistent Blessed Shine (Honour Devil), who will attempt to return to winning ways in what marks her debut performance at this track. Running for the silks of Stud Aguas Buenas, the bay mare has already built an admirable resume with victories in the Handicap Laguna Blanca, Handicap Stars and Stripes, and Handicap Orpen, alongside a stakes triumph in the Clásico Jamelao (L). Her two most recent outings have come in graded stakes company.

First, she finished a close second—just a half-length behind Lancara (Manipulator)—in the Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas de SPC (G3), before running a solid third to Stormy Summer (Nicholas) in the Clásico General Las Heras (G3).

She will face a tough rival in the dangerous End of Spring (Il Campione), who returns to a track where she remains undefeated, thanks to her victory in the Clásico Miss Loren. Coming off a third-place finish in the Handicap Rafale, her previous success over this specific oval could prove to be a significant asset.

Guadilu (Señor Candy) is another leading contender in the lineup. Winner of the Handicap Wally, Handicap Jerry Honor, and the Especial Haras La Biznaga at this venue, she enters the contest following a runner-up effort in the Handicap Cote D'Or at Palermo. Her overall racing record commands respect and needs little introduction.

Although she has not quite replicated the form shown during her most productive campaign, City Land (Lizard Island) must still be respected. She previously put together consecutive victories in the Especial Lux Lucis and the Especial República del Paraguay, and also finished fourth behind Blessed Shine in the aforementioned Clásico Jamelao.

The field is completed by Godess (Valid Stripes), La Banda (Fortify), the Brazilian-bred Upends (Imperatore), and Tiffany Breakfast (Japan), all of whom will look to spring an upset against a group that clearly outclasses them on paper. However, as the old turf saying goes, races must be run on the track, and surprises are always possible.
