Creencia Espiritual Looks to Extend Outstanding Form in a Highly Promising Clásico Orbit

The winner of the Clásico Wally and Clásico Etoile will tackle the 1400-meter challenge against dangerous rivals such as Party Girl, Class Life, and Gelaria; a field of seven fillies and mares will feature in today's centerpiece event at San Isidro

Featuring several contenders with solid credentials and an open forecast, the Clásico Orbit (L-1400m, dirt) serves as the feature race on Wednesday’s program at Hipódromo de San Isidro. Reserved for fillies and mares 4 years old and up under handicap conditions, the contest attracted seven runners—some arriving in sharp form and others seeking to regain top standing.
Breaking from post position 1 is Creencia Espiritual (Strategos), whose recent form strongly suggests another victory could be on the horizon. The Stud La Bertina colorbearer enters off back-to-back victories in the Handicap Wally(1100m) and the Clásico Etoile (L-1200m), both on the local dirt track, demonstrating significant progression.
However, she will now face a new test over 1400 meters. Her only previous attempt at the distance resulted in a unplaced tenth-place finish in the Clásico General Las Heras (G3), though that outing came on the turf. Assigned 57 1/2 kilos and with Francisco Lavigna back in the irons, she will look to prove her ability at intermediate trips.
A formidable challenger arrives in the form of the Brazilian-bred Party Girl (Outstrip), who carries the top weight of 58 kilos. The Stud RDI runner comes off a narrow victory in the Clásico Florentino Ameghino at La Plata, where she edged Maylena (Qué Vida Buena) by a nose, reaffirming her talent among the sprint division.
She also faces a distance extension, though she holds a prior victory over 1400 meters on the San Isidro turf during her allowance conditions. Her quality is indisputable, and if she manages her stamina efficiently, she will be a tough rival to hold off.
Another runner of considerable interest is Class Life (Fortify), who carries 56 kilos and seeks redemption following a ninth-place finish in the Clásico Carlos P. Rodríguez (G2) over the mile on turf. Prior to that, she excelled on the local dirt, capturing the Handicap Miss Linda (1600m) by a length over Hidden Vision (Puerto Escondido). Dropping in class and distance, these conditions could pave the way for her to regain her best form.
Gelaria (Cityscape) enters on a sharp upward trend and commands respect. She won her last two starts at Palermo, scoring first by 6 lengths over 1400 meters and subsequently by a neck over 1200 meters, confirming her ongoing progression. Carrying just 54 1/2 kilos, she gets a prime opportunity to translate her form into stakes company.
Forming (Winning Prize) should also not be overlooked, coming off a surprise victory in an allowance race contested over San Isidro's 1400-meter dirt track. That afternoon, showing determination, she prevailed by a half-head over Amonet (Mask), with Fina Linea (Leofric) two lengths back in third. Assigned just 54 kilos, her recent victory makes her a dangerous alternative.
Looming as a featherweight threat is Ser Lady Legs (Daddy Long Legs) with 52 kilos, making the step up from allowance ranks after a series of solid performances. She has already won twice over this track and distance, an asset that could work in her favor against opponents with more stakes experience.
The field is completed by Esperanza Eterna (Il Campione), who also benefits from a 52-kilo assignment, though her recent outings have been uninspiring and she will need significant improvement to contend for a top placing.
With sprinters stepping up, milers dropping down, and several ascending fillies in the mix, the Orbit presents an intriguing contest. Creencia Espiritual brings current form, Party Girl holds class, and Class Life possesses the back class to bounce back, but the lighter-weighted runners promise to make their presence felt.
