LA PLATA.- With the Clásico Ciudad de La Plata (G2) in his sights, the Clásico Club Hípico de Chile (1200 meters, dirt) will be contested this afternoon for 4-year-olds and up, with Es Aristocrático (Angiolo) aiming to extend his winning streak and establish himself at sprint distances around the turn.

The Stud Pauli representative comes into the race off victories in the La Plata Capital and Frío Wells specials, both over 1400 meters, meaning he will face a drop in distance that could prove challenging, despite having posted some of his best early-career efforts at this trip.

One of his main rivals is Le Massif (Le Ken), winner of the Clásico Julio Corte (L) and runner-up to Payucano (Mask)in the Especial Mangangá.

Another formidable contender is Lo Dejo Todo (Le Blues), who arrives off four consecutive seconds, finishing runner-up in the Clásico General Manuel Belgrano (G3)Mariano MorenoRefinado Tom (L), and the Handicap Día del Veterinario.

A step below in the pecking order is Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec), who after taking the Handicap Haras Don Florentinohere, placed third in the Clásico Paraguay (G3) at Palermo and fourth in the aforementioned Especial Mangangá.

Finally, 10-year-old Surfing Boy (Hurricane Cat), while having posted modest efforts in his last two outings, boasts a solid record of accomplishments, though his age could soon become a factor.
