Filoso Class (Filoso Emperor, 60kg) and Hiran (Santillano, 58.5kg) delivered yet another thrilling finish, but this time the result flipped from their last encounter in the General Viamonte (G3) over the same straight 1000 meters on the San Isidro turf.

Back then, Hiran had prevailed by a nose while benefiting from an extra kilo in his favor. This time, things evened out, and the Stud Paso de Piedra runner turned the tables, exacting revenge with a neck victory in the Clásico Eduardo Jara. Meanwhile, Camuflaje (Orpen), carrying the top weight, made an encouraging return to finish third, just one length behind.

Breaking only fairly, Hiran gradually took command, with Camuflaje tracking him down the center of the track while Filoso Class settled further back, waiting to make his move.

At the 500-meter mark, the eventual winner began to roll, swiftly challenging the leaders. By the 250-meter pole, he had surged to the front, and from there, it was all about holding on—withstanding the relentless pressure from his two game rivals to secure victory in a final time of 57.41.

Ridden by Rodrigo Bascuñán and conditioned by José M. BerdezagarFiloso Class, now nearing his eighth birthday, recorded the tenth and most significant win of his outstanding career. With 31 starts to his name, he has now amassed earnings surpassing 19 million pesos.
