Greenwell and House Boat Party will be the first runners by the undefeated crack to race under the Twin Spires; additionally, Inshallah, purchased for US$ 2.1 million, will begin breezing in California

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Special to Turf Diario).– The wait is over. After years of anticipation surrounding the horse that many consider the most brilliant runner of the 21st century, the first foals by Flightline will begin writing their own history this weekend at Churchill Downs.

The extraordinary champion, undefeated in 6 starts and voted Horse of the Year in 2022, will have his first representatives in competition under the Twin Spires when two members of his first crop make their official debuts.

The first will be Greenwell, who will defend the colors of Greenwell Thoroughbreds this Friday in the fifth race, a maiden special weight over 1000 meters for 2-year-olds. Trained by Mark Casse, the colt will break from post 6 under the guidance of José Ortiz.

One day later, it will be the turn of House Boat Party, a filly owned by Flying Dutchmen and trained by Brian Lynch, who will compete in a similar event for 2-year-old fillies. The daughter of Flightline will break from gate 8 with Florent Geroux at the controls.

The debuts are generating immense interest within the industry, considering that Flightline entered his stud career as one of the most highly anticipated stallions of modern times.

A son of Tapit and the outstanding Feathered, by Indian Charlie, the phenom trained by John Sadler did not debut until age 3, but quickly made it clear that he was destined for greatness.

Following a stunning victory in the Malibu Stakes (G1), he built a flawless campaign that featured memorable displays in the Metropolitan Handicap (G1), the Pacific Classic (G1), and the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), performances that earned him unanimous recognition as the best horse of his generation.

While his first offspring begin to hit the tracks, another of his descendants is generating massive expectations in California. This is the case with Inshallah, who was purchased by Saudi stable KAS Stable for US$ 2.1 million during a 2-year-olds in training sale.

Also conditioned by Sadler, the colt is out of the champion mare Bar of Gold, winner of the 2017 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1), and will begin official breezes this week at Santa Anita Park.

With such a pedigree and a multimillion-dollar investment behind him, Inshallah stands out as one of the most ambitious projects from Flightline's freshman crop.

For now, all eyes will be focused on Churchill Downs. There, Greenwell and House Boat Party will carry the responsibility of opening a new chapter for the phenom that revolutionized North American racetracks and now seeks to translate his extraordinary talent to the breeding shed.
