In her first try at 1000 meters, the daughter of Strategos scored clearly in the Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G3)

The spotlight belonged entirely to the fillies in Friday’s feature at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, as Go Clari Go delivered a sharp performance to take the Clásico Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G3, 1000m, dirt). Making her first career appearance down the straight and over the minimum trip, the daughter of Strategos showed notable adaptability after unsuccessful attempts to stretch out in the local classics.
Owned by Stud Friends and trained by Nicolás Martín Ferro, Go Clari Go defeated La Bella Otero (Daddy Long Legs) by two lengths, with Verdadera Pass (Distinctiv Passion) a head back in third. The trio left the more seasoned mares behind, echoing the recent Clásico México (G3), where younger fillies also came out on top.
Though the gray filly needed time to find her stride early, she steadily improved her action, ranged up to Aubrie(Angiolo) inside the final furlong, and powered clear with authority. Her late surge underscored her speed and promise in the sprint division.
Ridden by Martín Valle, who was meeting her for the first time on raceday, Go Clari Go impressed her jockey as much as her connections: “She was a little lost at the start, looking for room and still learning. But when I asked her at the 400 meters, she really picked up and drew off,” Valle told local television.
Bred in partnership by Haras de La Pomme, Horacio Espósito, and Pablo Kavulakian, Go Clari Go’s victory stamped her as a rising force among Argentina’s speed fillies, making her debut down the straightaway one to remember.
