Heavy Hitters Line Up over the La Plata Route in the Big Race Ahead

LA PLATA.- The next three cards to be decided at this venue are locked in, featuring the welcome news of a few extra races added to the mix. The La Plata track will open its gates on Sunday the 26th, Tuesday the 28th, and Thursday the 30th of this month.

The headliner looks directly ahead toward the Gran Premio Dardo Rocha (G1), as the first of those dates will feature the Clásico Federación Argentina de Jockey Clubes e Hipódromos over 2200 meters for horses 4 years old and up under weight-for-age conditions.

There were seven scratches from the original entry list, but the heavy hitters were confirmed and promise a high-caliber contest. Names such as Sono Perfetto (Tetaze), Amuni (Tetaze), Nassau (Forge), El Darwin (Il Campione), and Don Champagne (Long Island Sound), joined by Ruso Real (In the Dark), offer a quality guarantee. The race carries a modest winner's purse of 7,510,000 pesos.

El Bosque will also race on Tuesday the 28th of this month, when the feature event comes by way of the Handicap Revista Palermo, contested over 1100 meters for fillies and mares 4 years old and up with three or more victories.

Sixteen horses were originally entered, but only eight made the final cut. Beauty Check (Safety Check, 56 kg.), Filha(Nashville Texan, 57 kg.), Sprintback (Nickelback, 55 kg.), Única Roma (Único Ídolo, 51 1/2 kg.), Verdadera Pass(Distinctiv Passion), What a Glory (Safety Check, 54 kg.), Furiosa Popular (Furious Key, 54 1/2 kg.), and Maylena(Qué Vida Buena, 59 kg.) will comprise the field.

Finally, on Friday the 31st of this month at La Plata, the Especial Life for Sale (1000m) will be held for horses 4 years old and up with a minimum requirement of three wins.

Out of the 15 original entries, eight were ratified, with Magyar (Lenovo) and Cántaros Song (Alcindor) assigned the top weight of 58 kg. Lindo Tono Pass (Distinctiv Passion, 52 kg.), Rodo (Flowing Rye, 54 kg.), The Marksman (Must Go On, 52 kg.), Start to Victory (Don Chullo, 52 kg.), Antiguo Secreto (Angiolo, 52 kg.), and Ander Fil (Filoso Emperor, 54 kg.) will also load into the gates.

The first of these meetings will feature 10 races, while the remaining two will offer 11 contests—a number not reached in several weeks.
