The daughter of Fortify returns to sprinting after winning the Handicap El Centauro at Palermo

Another small meeting will take place at the Hipódromo de San Isidro this Wednesday, with only 11 races on the card, headlined by the Handicap Perrier, a 1100-meter event on the dirt track open to mares aged 5 and up, with a modest purse of 3,800,000 pesos for the winner.
Eight runners are confirmed, and Joy Melódica looks like a strong candidate to take another step forward in the mid-level sprint division after winning the Handicap El Centauro at Palermo.
The daughter of Fortify will carry a heavy 60 1/2 kilos, which is a notable challenge, but she has already proven her abilities with a win in the Clásico Día de la Bandera, among other notable performances, including a runner-up finish in the Clásico Estrellas Dirt on the same San Isidro's dirt track.
Her main competitors include Vida Real (Qué Vida Buena, 56), who has been in strong form, winning 4 out of 8 races, including her most recent performance, which left a positive impression.
Also dangerous is the experienced Emperadora (Il Campione, 57), who was fifth in the aforementioned Handicap El Centauro, but is returning to the sprint with a turn of foot, her preferred distance. A winner of the Handicap Haras La Biznaga and a consistent performer, she was second in the 1500-meter Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha (G1) as a filly.
Another threat is the consistent Aiyanna (Santillano, 57 1/2), who comes into the race with two consecutive victories, most recently claiming the Handicap Ante Diem by a half-length over Fantastic Woman (In the Dark) with Crhys Kissing (South Kissing) in third.
The field is completed by Manda Un Email (Señor Candy, 52 1/2), Sembra Money (Blood Money, 55 1/2), and Donatela (Vagabundo Inc, 52 1/2), all of whom will be looking to cause an upset in a competitive group that might just exceed expectations.
