Among the three original races of the series, their 2026 editions promise defining duels over the San Isidro turf mile

Undoubtedly, among the greatest attractions held year after year by the Carreras de las Estrellas series are the grandes premios Estrellas Juvenile (G1-1600m, turf) and Juvenile Fillies (G1-1600m, turf), which are generally defining events when the time comes to select each season's Champion 2-Year-Olds.
Headlining the card that will open the festival organized by the Fundación Equina Argentina on Friday, June 26, returning to Hipódromo de San Isidro, both matchups look highly enticing on paper.
Several rematches are set to take place among the colts, such as the one between Roi du Monde (Treasure Beach) and Stay Tune (Fortify), who are coming off a one-two finish in the Gran Premio Gran Criterium (G1). Also facing each other again are the top three finishers from the controversial conclusion of the Gran Premio Montevideo (G1) at Palermo, where Colorado del Monte (Strategos) was disqualified from first to third, handing the victory to Emotion Rate(Emotion Orpen) with Paulo Sil (Treasure Beach) inheriting the runner-up spot.
As if those attractions weren't enough, the 14 entries for the Juvenile also include Fletcher (Gershwin), who is fresh off a great victory in the Clásico Pedro Goenaga (G2) at La Plata.
Barto (Pneumatic), Corazón Federal (Strategos), Emotion Prize (Emotion Orpen), Excitement (Il Campione), Full Lujoso (Full Mast), Hi Pocho (Hi Happy), Lunático Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), and Siete Lagos (Full Mast)—the latter subject to paying the supplementary fee to become eligible—complete the list.
In the case of the fillies and the Juvenile Fillies, Gota Clara Sos (Made You Look) stands out as the heroine of the Eliseo Ramírez (G1) and runner-up to her paternal half-sister Gran Gotera—who will not participate due to not being nominated for the series—in the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1).
On her path, the defender of Stud Pauli could face up to 11 rivals, namely: Embozada Rim (Remote), Far Away Avon(Gouverneur Morris), Foun Garota (Gouverneur Morris), Gunakali (King Guillermo), Hi Intense (Hi Happy), Rebel Yell (Imperador), Ruby Rose (Il Campione), Sabia Epona (Seize), Unica Forma (Full Mast), Fly Cast (Made You Look), and Moon Sold (Made You Look), with the final two required to pay the supplementary fee.
The purses for the Juvenile events will be 80,000,000 pesos, with $50,000,000 awarded to each winner.
