The juvenile division of the 2025 Carreras de las Estrellas series is shaping up to deliver some of the most anticipated action of the big day, set for this coming Saturday over the main track at Palermo. Undefeated and impressive in their respective Group 1 triumphs on May 1, Amor de Contramano and Roshita—both by Gouverneur Morris—will seek to cement their positions as the leaders of their crop in what will be the toughest tests of their young careers.

The grey colt Amor de Contramano, brilliant winner of the G1 Gran Premio Montevideo, will face seven rivals in the G1 Estrellas Juvenile (1600m, dirt), which offers a winner’s prize of ARS $40,000,000. The original field was reduced by the withdrawals of Gran Porteñito (Dabster) and Shilton Boy (Legión de Honor), but the opposition remains solid.

Leading the challengers is Drive Joy (Fortify), hero of the G1 Clásico Raúl y Raúl E. Chevalier on the San Isidro turf. Others set to face the starter include Marruecos (Leofric), Neat Colt (Treasure Beach), Nevado Catedral (also by Gouverneur Morris), Nikolai D (Daddy Long Legs), Sur o no Sur (Leofric), and Un Infierno (Dabster).

On the filly side, Roshita, winner of both the G1 Jorge de Atucha and the G2 Saturnino J. Unzué, will headline the G1 Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (1600m, dirt, ARS $40,000,000 to the winner). Her main rival looks to be Charm (Strategos), the standout on the turf following her victory in the G1 Gran Premio de Potrancas at San Isidro.

With Citadelle (Fortify) and Citana (Endorsement) scratched and reportedly in negotiations for a sale, the rest of the field will include: Embrace It (Daddy Long Legs), La Banda (Fortify), La Isabelita (Leofric), and Queen Elinor (Señor Candy).

Meanwhile, the G3 Estrellas Junior Sprint (1000m, dirt, ARS $15,000,000 to the winner) saw no fewer than 11 withdrawals and will now feature a dozen runners: Sarzana Pass and Lindo Tono Pass (both by Distinctiv Passion), La Bella Otero (Daddy Long Legs), Campo Verde and Mujer Perdida (both by Strategos), Claro Bombón (Claro Oscuro), La Alfonso (Grand Reward), Martinique (Señor Candy), Schumy (Springdom), Soneto Negro (Seize), Tranquila Señora(Fortify), and Viejo Cuchara (Il Campione).

The fourth juvenile contest will be the Estrellas Dirt Junior (1300m, dirt, ARS $10,000,000 to the winner), with a field of eight: Chaplin (Nicholas), Cielo Escondido (Puerto Escondido), Impregnado Sr (Señor Candy), Kandaki (Fortify), Neón Boy (Cosmic Trigger), Opi Nails (Remote), Perro de la Noche (Perro Callejero), and Spirit Bound (Qué Vida Buena).
