SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Chile (Special for Turf Diario).— What Tiz the Law is achieving with his first crop born in Chile is starting to reach extraordinary proportions. This Saturday, it was Morrison's turn to expand the tally, claiming the Dos Mil Guineas (G1-1600 m) at Hipódromo Chile and becoming the stallion's sixth offspring to win at the highest level in the country across the Andes.

However, the story also holds immense individual value for the representative of Stud Paola, who had been steadily improving, took another step forward, and has now established himself as the new leader of the juvenile generation on the dirt.

Morrison arrived backed by his victory 3 weeks ago in the Clásico Francisco Astaburuaga Ariztía, also over 1600 meters, though on that occasion over a rain-affected track. The jump to G1 company represented a significantly tougher test, with 13 colts in the gates and several of the generation's key names lining up against him.

The Rodrigo Sánchez trainee responded with pure grit. With Luis Torres in the saddle, Morrison traveled handy throughout, alternating between third and fourth position for a good portion of the trip, avoiding the early skirmishes while waiting for the right moment to launch his bid.

As the field swung into the homestretch, the son of Tiz the Law found clear sailing down the center and began to make his move with authority. But on the outside came Soldado Bruce (Robert Bruce), the favorite, igniting a spectacular duel that persisted practically all the way to the wire. Neither would yield an inch.

Morrison kept driving on the inside while Soldado Bruce tried relentlessly to break him from the outside. The finish held the crowd in suspense until the final strides, where the former managed to carve out a half-length margin to secure the most prestigious victory of his career.

It was the third win in 7 starts for Morrison, all achieved at Hipódromo Chile, and his second consecutive stakes score. From winning the Francisco Astaburuaga Ariztía, he stepped straight into taking the Dos Mil Guineas, a progression that now places him firmly at the top among 3-year-olds campaigning on the dirt.

Bred by Haras Paso Nevado, Morrison will almost certainly face his next major exam on October 3 in the Gran Criterium Mauricio Serrano Palma (G1-1900 m), the marquee event of the XXXVII edition of the Sábado de Campeones.

There, he will have to stretch out an additional 300 meters, where he will get the opportunity to definitively consolidate the leadership he has just conquered.
