LA PLATA.— After being rescheduled from its original date, the Clásico Miguel Luis Morales (G2-1600m, dirt), the key three-year-old filly prep on the road to the Clásico Polla de Potrancas (G2), will finally take place on Tuesday, July 21, on the main track of this city's racecourse.

A select field of just six runners will face the starter. With none of the division's established leaders among the entries, the stage is set for a fresh face to emerge and join the elite ranks heading into the opening leg of the local Triple Crown.

Competing for a winner's share of just 5,280,000 pesos—a truly embarrassing purse structure—the undefeated Tardona(Gidu), representing the Marcelo Sueldo-Gonzalo Borda trainer-jockey tandem and the colors of Stud Pauli, will clash with Xurra (Forge), the maiden Invincible Scape (Cityscape), Tarea Fácil (Fortify), La Manteca (Equal Talent), and Missing You (Señor Candy).

The Clásico Morales is carded as the sixth race on the program, with an approximate post time of 5:00 PM. It will headline a brief 10-race card that kicks off at 2:30 PM and wraps up around 7:00 PM.

Action for the sophomore fillies will continue on Thursday, July 23, with the running of the Especial Micenida (1100m, dirt). The event was moved from its original Tuesday slot to ensure the Thursday card retained a stakes feature following the cancellation of the Clásico Jockey Club de Córdoba on Friday.

An eight-horse field has been assembled for the Especial, featuring Helen Pretty (Pneumatic), Temper Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), Ossira Win (Gershwin), Pasión del Alma Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Amiguita Casual (Todo Un Amiguito), the maiden La Figurilla (Emotion Orpen), Candy Compadrona (Mahi Mahi), and Crazy Train (Remote).

Additionally, La Plata management announced that the upcoming programs scheduled for July 26, 28, and 31 will be contested without any restricted maiden or low-tier claiming events (known locally as "categoría alternativa" or CA), meaning all races on those dates will offer full prize money.

The track recently introduced the CA conditions to its programming cycle, but the initiative met with widespread resistance and minimal participation due to the extremely low purses offered.
