The Especial Haras Vacación (1500m, heavy dirt), the first of two features on Tuesday’s card at the forest circuit, appeared wide open on paper. Amidst a sea of contenders, it was Red Chilly who surged strongest to the shore, making the most of her light weight of 52 kilograms to secure the most significant victory of her career.

The daughter of Il Mercato, bred by Haras La Pasión, entered the race looking to snap a six-race losing streak. Under jockey Darío Lencinas, the Stud Lucy y Carol color-bearer tracked the early pace set by a clear-leading Furious Vis (Furious Key).

The journey wasn't without drama; at the far turn, Red Chilly found herself boxed in between the leader and Puerta Plateada (Puerto Escondido). Lencinas was forced to steady and switch inside to the rails as they entered the stretch. Once the gap appeared, Red Chilly responded with a firm late kick, overtaking Furious Vis at the furlong marker before holding off favorite Baby Shark (Equal Talent) by 1 1/2 lengths. Furious Vis stayed on gamely to preserve third, just a head further back.

The final time was recorded in 1m33s59/100. Trained by Aldo Díaz, the winner now boasts a record of four victories from 26 career starts.
