Sunday at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo will once again celebrate provincial runners with another edition of the Encuentro Provincial Invierno, a concept held three times each season that continues to deliver strong economic results.

The day will feature a series of special races, all over 1000 meters on dirt, with two of them restricted to juveniles and the other two open to 3-year-olds and up. Entries were plentiful once again, and track officials expect a handle boost.

The first division for the new generation will offer 6,600,000 pesos to the winner and has drawn a full gate of 15 runners. The early favorite appears to be Sam Glory (Libreo), to be ridden by Mauricio Villarroel, who already boasts a pair of wins at San Francisco in Córdoba.

With strong local support, Roman Forge (Forge) arrives off a solid effort at Rosario and connections are confident he can rebound for a big result. Halloween Moon (Puerto Escondido) brings positive experience to the table, while Bochini(Malenchini) generates expectations from the pampas circuit.

From Santa FeGood Face (Angiolo) hopes to prove he's more than just a pretty face, while Rosa Oscura (Claro Oscuro) arrives with solid seasoning from Entre Ríos, aiming to shine under the Palermo lights.

The second juvenile split carries slightly higher expectations, headlined by Texano Tormentoso (Nashville Texan), who was last seen scoring decisively just over a month ago at Santa Rosa. Others looking to challenge include Santa Sonrisa(Santillano), Lapillus (Lucky Island), and Qué Linda Nina (Glory Seattle).

Santa Sonrisa dominated her last outing at San Francisco over 600 meters; Lapillus has impressed in both Santa Fe and La Pampa, while Qué Linda Nina already owns victories at Concepción del UruguayVillaguay, and Gualeguaychú.

Finally, there's A Costa de Todo (Angiolo), who debuted a winner at Rosario and now looks to add another trophy to the cabinet.
