The daughter of Treasure Beach achieved the best victory of her campaign in Peru and is aiming high this season

LIMA, Peru (Special for Turf Diario).— In a finish not for the faint of heart, Peruvian racing witnessed the confirmation of a filly that, after hinting at valuable conditions, finally made the definitive leap in quality. Se Va Colando, the Argentine-born at Haras Vacación, achieved the most significant success of her campaign by winning the Clásico Mari July (L), the main event last Sunday at Monterrico.
The Juan Suárez Villarroel trainee, who defends the silks of Stud Jet Set, had recently signaled her potential with a valuable second place in the Clásico Oscar Berckemeyer Pazos (G3), before returning to victory in a conditional race. However, her performance over the 1900 meters on the grass track of the Surco colossus raises her stock to a new level, demonstrating the grit and finishing ability typical of high-class runners.
The race had an intense development, with fractions of 23s81/100, 51s26/100, 1m16s56/100, and 1m41s45/100, where the pacesetter Super Sienna (Mendelssohn) attempted a wire-to-wire mission. Upon entering the final straight, the finish began to close in among the protagonists, but it was in the final stride where the daughter of Treasure Beach and Tulipera (by Dynamix) managed to tip the scales in her favor.
Under the expert guidance of Húber Bocanegra, who shone in the saddle to manage the winner's energy, Se Va Colandomanaged to edge out the favorite Domitila (Brody's Cause) by just half a head, as she sold her defeat dearly. Super Sienna arrived a length and a quarter behind the runner-up, while Espartana (Air Force Blue) completed the board in fourth place. Further back crossed Clarissa (Street Hero), Bella Mia (Yazamaan), Barracuda (Bourbon Resolution), Amazonka (Mendelssohn), and the also Argentine-bred Fidenzia (Hurricane Cat), in that order.
With a final time of 1m59s72/100, Se Va Colando sealed her third victory in just 7 starts, raising her earnings to 41,622 soles. The victory of the 3-year-old bay not only rewards the consistency of her campaign but also highlights Juan Suárez's work in training, ensuring the granddaughter of Dynamix reached the engagement in peak physical and competitive form.
