Just like Hipodromo de San Isidro, Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo finalized the process this Tuesday to outline its upcoming programs, with dates set for Friday the 20th and Monday the 23rd of this month.

The most significant event will take place on the first of those dates, when female sprinters take center stage in the Clasico General Arenales (G3, 1,000m, dirt), open to fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up. Ten runners were confirmed, including the well-known Go Clari Go (Strategos), Lissette Island (Lizard Island), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Bichita de Luz (Fragotero), Vieja Amiga Mask (Mask), Forever Rim (Remote), and La Mykonos (Mask), who will share the starting gate with Envidiada (Il Campione), Santita Candy (Señor Candy), and White Lotus (Daddy Long Legs).

The meeting will consist of only 11 races, several of them with few ratified entries, and the peculiarity of a division for 2-year-old maiden fillies over 1,200 meters on the turf (the colts' division was canceled). It is difficult to understand the purpose of such a call, as the downtown track does not hold stakes races for juveniles on its inner turf course. Then comes the shock when the most important races arrive and only four remain confirmed... The management's plan is incomprehensible.

As for the Monday, the 23rd card, it will feature two races above the common level: the Handicap Court Harwell(1,200m, dirt) and the Handicap Ultrasonido (1,800m, dirt), both for horses 5-year-olds and up. In the Court Harwell, Rugiente (Il Campione) will carry the top weight of 62 kg against Cerrito Pinon (Manipulator, 59 kg), Flying to the Sky (Señor Candy, 57 kg), Buen Curuzucuateño (Buen Verso, 56 kg), Por Ahi (Strategic Prince, 55 1/2 kg), Despacito (Sabayon, 61 kg), and Decan Dall (Victor Security, 55 kg).

Meanwhile, in the Ultrasonido, the handicapper decided to be generous with multiple stakes winner Super Inter (Super Saver) by assigning him just 60 kg, only 2 1/2 kg more than Emergent (Il Campione), a simple winner at this level. If the top weight were in poor form, it might be understandable, but that is not the case. Regardless of the result, the scale is erroneous. Additionally, the field will include Buen Escoses (Bodemeister, 56 1/2 kg), Boyero Spring (Greenspring), and Valle Barun (Vastago Salvaje, 55 1/2 kg).
