Mares on the turf and the opening of the selective processes for 2-year-olds will be the center of the comingweek

There will be 3 group races awaiting next Sunday at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, in a meeting that will mark the start of the selective process for 2-year-olds on that track.
In terms of level, the strongest element will be provided by the Clásico Miguel Angel y Tomás Juárez Celman (G2-1600 m), on the complicated turf track and for mares 3 years old and up. However, the greatest attention will surely fall on the Guillermo Kemmis (G3-1000 m, sand) and Carlos Casares (G3-1000 m, sand) classics, for colts and fillies respectively, marking the initial step in the most important territory for the 2023 generation.
Only 4 were confirmed for the Kemmis and 6 for the Casares, low numbers, but not surprising. Usually, not many products are part of these types of competitions, but the figure is thought-provoking and concerning.
After his victory in the Congreve (L), on the San Isidro turf, Enter the Club (The Greay Day) returns to the Buenos Aires soil where he won on his debut to compete in the Kemmis against: Aspiring Artist (Angiolo), Chichipío(Angiolo), and Lebrón Blues (Le Blues).
On the other hand, in the Casares, the undefeated Princesa Bella (Made You Look) and her stablemate Mayan Goddess(Made You Look) stand out, along with the also so far invincible Se Cruzan (Manipulator). Additionally, the maidens Grosella (Seahenge) and Embozada Rim (Remote), and the debutante Clara Ruler (Claro Oscuro) will be in the starting gates.
The field of contenders for the Juárez Celman will also be brief, including Obra Clásica (Suggestive Boy), the defending champion. The challenge seems tough for the homebred from Haras Pozo de Luna, who will face in her path: Stormy Summer (Nicholas), Causeway Girl (Dabster), Vida Bohemia (Winning Prize), Pecadora Joy (Fortify), Igual No Soy (John F Kennedy), and Soñadora Pícara (Suggestive Boy).
Palermo will have another classic on Friday with the Good Manners, a sand mile for all horses 3 years old and up. There, the G1 winner Comando Secreto (War Command) will run into: Indicado (Seek Again), Don Zahir (Daddy Long Legs), Oro Nativo (Puerto Escondido), and El Estimado (Il Campione).
On Monday the 9th, meanwhile, the Handicap Tintilla (1000 m, sand) stands out, where Doña Chila (Peten Itza) will carry the top weight of 60 kilos.
