Vacación’s Gran Venta Primavera features an impressive lineup of fillies

The farm will hold its final yearling sale of the season this Thursday at its facilities in San Antonio de Areco

SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO, Buenos Aires (Especial para Turf Diario).— A special Thursday approaches for Haras Vacación, which will welcome friends and clients to its facilities in San Antonio de Areco for its Gran Venta Primavera, organized by the firm Sales.

With the auction scheduled for 1:00 p.m., following a preliminary showing at 11:00 a.m., the farm owned by Pablo Zavaleta and Damasia Lottero will offer a highly attractive group of 31 yearlings from the 2024 crop under an eight-installment payment plan.

Offspring by Fortify (Distorted Humor), Hi Happy (Pure Prize), Cityscape (Selkirk), Treasure Beach (Galileo), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), and Remote (Dansili) make up the catalog, alongside members of the first crop by Japanese sire Satono Flag (Deep Impact) and the final local yearlings by Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), whose current runners this season include graded stakes winners Robate Un Beso and Teobaldo.

Judging by the pre-bids—which are already underway—two names have been drawing the greatest attention: Alas de Angel and Idea Perfecta, both fillies by champion sire Fortify.

The former is out of Amiga del Corazón (Roman Ruler), a full sister to G2 winner Ayra (Roman Ruler) and half-sister to stakes winner in Uruguay Rebecci (Fortify). Amiga del Corazón has already produced G3-placed Angel del Cielo (Orpen) and Amor de Verdad (War Command), represented in 2026 by Antolina (Remote), who finished fourth in the Clásico Güiraldes.

Idea Perfecta, meanwhile, is the second foal out of the talented Impositive Rate (Exchange Rate), who finished second at age two in the Clásico Saturnino J. Unzué (G2) and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Iker (Equal Stripes), tracing back to the prolific "I" family.

On paper, few offer as much pedigree depth as Química Real, by Satono Flag out of G1 winner and track-record setter Qué Piensa Cat (Easing Along). The filly is a half-sister to Always Thinking (Street Sense), a stakes winner in the U.S. who went on to produce G2 winner Think Big (Twirling Candy) and G3-placed in Canada Pondering (Hard Spun); local stakes-placed runner The Goat (Fortify); and Que Chulo (Bernardini), sire of U.S. stakes winner Sharp Aza Tack (Sharp Azteca).

Finally, two other standout fillies include Beauty Flag (Satono Flag), out of G2 winner Beauty Roy (Roy) and half-sister to fellow G2 winner Balkana (Roman Ruler); and Tener Fe (Satono Flag), out of G3 winner Timberline(Easing Along) and half-sister to stakes-placed runners Tarde Libre (Fortify) and Travel Pass (Fortify).
